They are sisters and are almost 8 months old. 

Update

Here's a quick update on what's been going on here:

• The little baby gerbil died on Friday evening.  I'm not quite sure what caused it, but I think it might have been that he choked on the milk.  Oh well.  I am surprised he lived as long as he did.

• Also, over the weekend I updated the pictures on my website.  

• Just today...

went to a new home!  Now I only have two more girls, and six more boys that I am trying to find homes for before I breed again!

New Baby

Well, mama hasn't been doing a good job of taking care of baby, so I have decided to take care of it myself.  I'm not really sure how well this will work out, but I decided it was worth a try.  So I made some kitten formula, and have been feeding it using a syringe.  I have also been keeping it on a heating pad to keep it warm.  Here are some pictures I took of it.

I think it will be a lighter color, and I think it is a boy, but of course, I can't be sure at this age.

Oops!

Yesterday when I was looking through the boys cage, I found this...

Uh-oh.  Apparently, this girl...

...looked like a boy!  

It probably won't survive, since there is only one, but it just might!  I'll have to think of a special name for that one...

No News

No new gerbils for a while now.  I am trying to find new home for all of the current gerbils available right now.  I am hoping to breed again before the end of the year.  Meanwhile, check out my website at ffnftgerbils.com to see if one of my them might be your new pet!
